“ We cannot create observers by saying ‘observe’ but giving them the power and the means for this observation”  - Maria Montessori

Children live in a world of senses – colour, size, dimensions, shape, form, sound, touch and smell. There are special sensorial Montessori materials such as the pink tower, the colour tablets and the sound boxes which illustrate clear concepts such as large and small, colours, loud and soft and so on.

Knobless Cylinder

These materials have a specific way to be used because it is in this way the child develops an understanding of concept. This leads to an incredible level of creativity in the child, enabling the child to clarify, classify and comprehend the world and internalize concepts such as size, shape, colour, taste and sound.
 Brown Stairs

The sensorial materials also provide a basis for the development of other skills such as music, mathematics and language.

Constructive Triangles

Montessori sensorial materials appeal directly to the young child’s active sensory antennae, making learning a natural result of the child’s desire to explore.
 Geometric Solids

The equipment has the possibility for repetition as well as some features which indicate whether the activity has been done correctly.

Knobless Cylinders

The apparatus is of good quality, attractive to the senses and suitable for the child’s size and strength.
